CHARTER OF HOSPICE SERVICES Le Butterflies of Isola del Liri
The “Butterfly House” Hospital is the hospital facility designed for people suffering from incurable diseases in the advanced stage of disease, who need palliative care assistance.
Embracing the philosophy of Palliative Care, with a holistic approach to the patient and attention to its family and relational nucleus, the Hospice articulates its services through a multi-professional team, composed of Nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and diabetologists, experts in palliative care and pain therapy, who seek to ensure the best quality of life for the patient and their relatives. The various figures of the team work by integrating their professional skills through the detection of the needs of the patient and the family and the identification of objectives, contributing, each for their specific professionalism, to the drafting of the Individual Care Plan.
Among the figures that make up the team, it should not be forgotten the role played by volunteers who contribute to the quality of care with their continuous presence and closeness, attention to non-health dimensions and creativity in the proposal of listening and animation initiatives.
The department consists of 12 single rooms with private bathroom, television and armchair bed.
In addition, there is a room in the ward for aggregation activities and a kitchen available for patients and family members.
Access to the Hospice is based on specific validated eligibility criteria, on the proposal of the Hospital Doctor or your General Practitioner.
