The Rehabilitation and Long-term Care Unit of Pole A is a complex structure within the San Benedetto Hospital in Alatri.
It consists of a hospital ward for rehabilitation purposes and post-acute medical hospitalization. Currently it consists of 12 active beds, pending the planned final allocation of 20 beds.
Services/Activities provided
There are currently no outpatient activities. The department has 5 hospital rooms with 4 beds and a room with a single bed. The department uses the advice of a Social Worker of the PUA, in harmony with the regional provisions, to evaluate the inclusion of the patient with social fragility in appropriate territorial structures. The department uses the advice of a Physiotherapist to try to recover the levels of autonomy prior to the acute event for each patient, with a commitment of 6 hours for all weekdays.
There is a department doctor from 08:00 to 20:00 on all weekdays and from 08:00 to 14:00 on the pre-holiday. There is an interdivisional guard for emergencies at night, pre-holiday and festive hours. Pre-holiday availability is available at night and from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Recipients
The activity is carried out for the exclusive benefit of inpatients from other acute care departments and is aimed at adults not of paediatric age.
How to access
Patients can join the UOC from other acute care departments, following the assessment of the Rehabilitation Evaluation Unit (as per the Company Guidelines) that designs a specific rehabilitation project, or alternatively with a request for a bed, completed by the doctor of the UOC where the patient is hospitalized, to be sent by FAX accompanied by the complete and correct completion of the Single Transfer Request form (BUR del Lazio no. 41 of 24/05/2016). If the admission criteria are met and the exclusion criteria are not present, the request is accepted and, if present, the availability of a bed is provided.
It is not possible to formulate a waiting list of hospitalizations, given the large number of UOCs that request it, the reduced turn-over (medium-long hospitalizations), for which applicants are invited to submit requests on a daily basis.
Hours and days of receipt
In view of the state of physical, social and emotional fragility of the patients of this UOC, the department is open to family visits from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Information on the health status of family members is provided every weekday from 13:00 to 14:00.
