The Women’s Health Unit – Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy is a simple structure within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit of the Alatri Hospital.
Services / Activities provided
Every day from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 13.00, reservations are made for medical or surgical protocol, obstetric ultrasound and IVG certification, if not already performed. Pre-hospitalisation with preoperative examinations and anaesthesiological examination . Post-treatment check-up.
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: administration of RU486 pill (first dose), until the 9th week of gestational age, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on a Day Hospital basis. (The following tests are necessary: betahcg, Blood Group and Rh Factor, blood count, rapid buffer for SARS-COV2 not earlier than 48 hours)
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: administration of the second dose of the medical protocol from 9.00 am in the regime of Day Hospital
- Wednesday: surgical activity in the regime of Day Surgery (hours 08.00-15.30)
- Monday, Wednesday: interview with social worker, if not already carried out at another facility
