The UOC Orthopaedics – Traumatology is a Complex Structure within the Hospital Department, is located on the 3rd floor of the S. Scolastica Hospital and is equipped with 16 beds.
The Facility treats diseases related to:
- Traumatology;
- Bone deformities;
- Osteoarthritis;
- Congenital diseases.
Services / Activities provided
The Orthopaedic Traumatology Unit provides outpatient visits every day from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm. The outpatient visit can be territorial, hospital and/or specialty (shoulder, hip, knee, hand, wrist, ankle and foot).
Among the services there is hospitalization for acute (70%) / elective (30%) and Divisional surgery. In particular:
- post-release checks;
- treatment of traumatology;
- surgery of choice:prosthetic (hip,knee and shoulder);
- sports orthopedics (ligaments and menisci);
- foot and hand surgery;
- shoulder surgery;
- external fixing.
Recipients
The recipient is the local user and the Emergency Department affected by orthopaedic pathologies.

Outpatient services are provided by reservation at the cup counters.
How to reach us
- by car: exit A1 Cassino, take SS for Sora hospital exit;
- by train: Cassino train station about 2.5 km away with continuous bus connections to the hospital.

The Orthopaedic Orthopaedics Unit receives on Tuesdays from 12.00 to 14.00.
