The Cutaneous Ulcer Center of the ASL of Frosinone (Act delib. 1748 of 6/8/18), has been operating for over 10 years as a specialist center of reference for level II companies. It combines multiple multidisciplinary specialists to meet the health demand of patients suffering from chronic skin ulcers of various kinds (vascular, pressure ulcers, rheumatic , mixed, atypical, diabetic foot, etc.).
The multi-specialist team consists of outpatient dermatologists, angiologists, diabetologists, neurologists and wound care nurses, coordinated by Dr. Alessandro Greco, outpatient dermatologist and branch manager.
After the multidisciplinary evaluation, the patient is taken care of and treated by specific treatments, according to the most modern treatment guidelines for proper tissue repair and is subsequently followed up for the prevention of recurrence.
The Skin Ulcer Center of Frosinone has activated with several Italian Universities Protocols of Understanding and Scientific Collaborations.
Hours and days of receipt
The structure operates continuously throughout the year on weekdays, with active service hours from Monday to Saturday, from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
How to access
What you need to book: It is necessary to have a prescription issued by the General Practitioner (GP) or the Pediatrician of Free Choice (PLS), or by a public specialist (hospital or district) of: first dermatological visit for skin ulcer with diagnostic question of: lower limb ulcer, decubitus, diabetic foot, chronic wound, burn or other ulcerative lesion, etc.
How to book: The reservation can be made through the district and hospital CUPS throughout the company by presenting the prescription of the attending physician.
Level I Vulnerable Dermatology Clinics
Dermatology clinics dedicated to Level I vulnology are active at the Pontecorvo Health Centre (District D) on Friday from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm and at the Outpatient Clinic of the former hospital of Isola del Liri (District C), on Thursday from 8 am to 11.00 am.
The team consists of an outpatient specialist dermatologist vulnologist and nurse expert in wound care.
These clinics operate autonomously for patients with low care complexity and refer to the Cutaneous Ulcer Center of Level II of Frosinone for the most complex skin lesions.
How to Book: Similarly to the Skin Ulcer Center, you must go to the district CUP with a prescription issued by the GP or PLS or specialist in which you request: First dermatological visit for skin ulcer with diagnostic question of: lower limb ulcer, decubitus, diabetic foot, chronic wound, burn or other ulcerative lesion, etc.
