The Animal Food Inspection Facility (Veterinary Service Area B) carries out inspection, surveillance and control of food of animal origin (meat, fish and derived products) in the production, storage, processing, processing, storage, transport and sale phases, with the aim of reducing the exposure of citizens to microbiological, chemical and physical risks and improving food safety conditions.
The UOC Hygiene of the Production, Processing, Marketing, Preservation and Transport of Food of Animal Origin:
- guarantees the health services included in the Essential Levels of Care (LEA) of the S.S.N. in the forms and in the manner provided for by current legislation;
- is available to users for services on request in the field of inspection of food of animal origin in compliance with current national and international regulations;
- expresses technical opinions, international certifications, preventive visits and complaint management in the interest of private citizens;
- expresses opinions to the Mayor for the issuance of health authorisations where provided for;
- carries out information and health education activities.

The UOC is divided into 2 UOS (North and South, ASL FR resolution no. 581/2017) and 5 Offices distributed as follows:
- Northern District: Anagni, Alatri,Frosinone resulting from the union of the former Anagni–Frosinone OUs
- Southern District: Sora, Cassino resulting from the union of the former Sora-Cassino OUs

SELF-CONSUMPTION SLAUGHTER OF PIGS BY FARMERS
1 Book at least 7 days in advance by email or telephone at the addresses listed at the bottom, indicating the date, expected time, place of slaughter and your telephone number. In the case of communication by fax/email, the model referred to in Annex 1 must be used; in the case of telephone communication, the model must be delivered to the service together with the diaphragm sample.
2 Provide for the payment to the company CUPS, or by bank transfer of the flat-rate charges relating to veterinary inspection expenses, to the extent established by Legislative Decree 32/21 and equal to € 15.00 (code VET. 99.172) and the trichinoscopic examination performed at the IZS Lazio and Tuscany of €8.00. (code VET. 99.356) In the event that several animals are slaughtered on the same day, the cost in addition to the first is € 5.00. (e.g. slaughter of 2 pigs on the same day, the total cost is € 15.00 + € 5.00 plus trichinoscopic examination).
3 Deliver the diaphragm sample to the services by filling in the attached form, together with the payment receipt and the required documentation.
The IAOA Veterinary Services will carry out a sample verification of the reserved slaughterings.
