The TSRMEE UOC (Mental Health Protection and Evolutionary Age Rehabilitation) is part of the Department of Primary Care and Intermediate Care (DAPCI). It is organized in a TSMREE UOC to which a C-D Evolutionary Age Rehabilitation UOS pertains.
TSMREE is aimed at children, teenagers (from 0 to 18 years old) and their families. It implements specific interventions in the field of child neuropsychiatry, clinical psychology, rehabilitation and social assistance at the territorial level and is articulated to respond specifically to the needs of different age groups while keeping in mind, however, the need for integrated and continuous interventions until reaching adulthood.
Its main objectives are:
- the promotion of Mental Health, the treatment and rehabilitation of neuro-psychopathological pathologies specific to developmental age;
- taking charge of the child’s situation as a whole, through an evaluation, a diagnosis, an elaboration of a therapeutic project shared with the family and the start of the rehabilitation protocol.
The TSMREE is responsible, both from a health and social point of view, for:
- prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders: infantile cerebral palsies, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, specific and non-specific learning disorders, speech disorders, sensory disorders, mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, affective and relational development disorders, behavioral disorders, etc.
- rehabilitation (motor, cognitive, neuropsychological and psychiatric disorders)
- school integration of students with disabilities in accordance with current legislation L.104/92
- certifications pursuant to Law 170/2010 (DSA)
- social and health integration, in collaboration with the social welfare services of the Local Authorities, with the School System, the Judicial System and the Third Sector
- interventions for the protection of minors requested by the Judiciary or deriving from measures issued by the same in connection with the social services of the territory within the integrated working groups.
Within the TSMREE, the following professional figures operate: Child Neuropsychiatrists (NPI), Psychologists, Neuropsychomotor Therapists of the developmental age (TNPEE), Rehabilitation Therapists (ToR), Speech Therapists, Educators, Social and Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Neurophysiopathology Technicians ( TNFP), Socio-Healthcare Operators (OSS), Administrative.
