The Single Point of Access (PUA) is a Service dedicated to all citizens with particular regard to the fragile population:
- mother and child;
- handicap;
- non-self-sufficient elderly people;
- chronic-degenerative diseases;
- psychiatric disorders;
- addictions to drugs, alcohol and medications;
- pathologies due to HIV infections;
- diseases in the terminal phase.
The patient is taken care of globally from both a health and socio-economic point of view, in collaboration with the Social Services of the Municipalities of Residence.
The PUA is therefore aimed at:
- people chronically affected by multiple diseases, addictions and/or disabilities, with an unstable state of health, in which the effects of the diseases can be aggravated by socio-economic problems;
- people with disabilities and functional limitation or loss;
- foreigners permanently or temporarily present in the territory of competence, who present health and/or social problems complicated by difficulties in relating to the services determined by linguistic and/or cultural problems;
- minors who have a situation of discomfort and/or health conditions that delay or hinder their psycho-physical and social development.
The functions of the PUA are identified in the reception, information, guidance and accompaniment with a view to providing complete and appropriate integrated responses to simple needs and initiating pathways for complex needs (guidelines attached. Resolution no. 315 of 08.07.2011).
