On Wednesday, May 3, the commemoration torchlight of Dr. Barbara Capovani, barbarously killed by a former patient, will be held in Rome. The procession will take place at the same time as that of Pisa and many Italian cities, as a sign of closeness to Barbara’s family and colleagues. A silent echo that will run through the entire Nation to express solidarity, dismay, indignation, as well as anger, for an unjust and premature death. The organizers and all the participants gather around the compound and heartbreaking pain of Dr. Capovani’s family and colleagues while remembering all those who have had the same cruel fate in the past. The shared hope is that there will no longer be extraordinary lives broken in the course of their professional, personal, family and social journey.
The torchlight will start from Piazza Esquilino at 20:00, passing through Via Cavour, Largo Corrado Ricci, along Via dei Fori Imperiali to reach Piazza Madonna di Loreto, in front of the Capitol. During the procession, banners and signs identifying trade union initials, political symbols or logos of trade associations are not allowed. All citizens are invited to participate.
