A calendar full of initiatives, the one planned by the Asl of Frosinone for the month of WOMEN’S HEALTH. Open day for visits and examinations, screening, dedicated clinics but also webinars and moments of discussion dedicated to raising awareness against gender violence. It starts on 8 March and ends on 7 April.
Numerous days dedicated to screening: on 8 March the “Osteoporosis and prevention” open day is scheduled at the Pontecorvo Health Centre with the possibility of carrying out 48 MOC, lumbar and femoral exams that can be booked with the doctor’s request and relative clinical indication at numbers: 0776.7693035 / 0776.7692989.
On the same day Open Day direct access adolescent vaccinations “Papillomavirus (HPV)… and much more!”. Young people aged 11 and over will be able to access the offices of Frosinone, Cassino and Pontecorvo without reservation for all free vaccinations provided for in the vaccination calendar (Papillomavirus, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Meningococcus B, Meningococcus ACWY, DTPPolio).
On 11, 12 and 19 March “Female screening” at the vaccination site in Ceccano, where it will be possible to make reservations for screening tests: in particular PAP tests for women aged between 25 and 29 who have not performed the test in the previous three years, HPV tests for women aged 30-64 who have not performed the test in the previous 5 years, mammography for women aged 50-69 who have not performed the test in the previous two years. At the station, men and women between the ages of 50 and 74 will also be able to pick up the SOF kit (fecal occult blood test), a screening test for colorectal cancer.
On March 12, here is “The Camper of prevention” at Piazzale Europa in Ceccano: with free access and in order of arrival, women between 25 and 29 years old, who have not performed the test in the previous three years will be able to perform the PAP test, those between 30 and 64 years old will be able to perform the HPV test, if not performed in the five years and the first 35 women, between 50 and 69 years old, will be able to undergo mammography, if not performed in the previous two years.
On March 16 “Becoming a mother: labor, delivery and return home” the midwives meet the pregnant women.
On 14 and 21 March, at the Alatri Hospital open day “Thyroid in health”: 30 thyroid ultrasounds with direct access at the direction of the General Practitioners from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00.
On 19 and 26 March, two further open days “Osteoporosis and prevention” will be held, by reservation at number 0775.2072653 in the Women’s Health Centre of Viale Mazzini in Frosinone starting from 9.00 am with availability of up to 25 exams for each single day.
On 25 March, at the Sora Medicine department, an outpatient clinic for the prevention of cardiovascular risk factors in women.
Double appointment for pregnant women with open day on 26 March in Cassino “Midwives for women: aroma therapy and movement in pregnancy” and on 29 March “Your well-being is our goal” at the respective departments of Santa Scolastica and Spaziani.
On 28 March in Sora and Frosinone, the Breast Unit will carry out a day of awareness-raising for women outside the age group of screening for prevention, in particular those aged 35-49 years. Also scheduled are breast ultrasounds, which will be followed where necessary by integration with mammography, oncology counseling and breast self-examination education. Information material on the prevention of breast cancer and the Frosinone ASL Pathway in Pink will also be distributed.
“Let’s do something with you and…for you” is the slogan of the initiatives organized by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Diseases to promote the psychological well-being of women.
On March 16, “Fiocchetto Lila 2022” will be held, a day dedicated to the prevention and awareness of eating disorders. The clinic in Viale Mazzini in Frosinone will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free access to psychological, social and psychiatric interviews. A simple reservation is required at 0775.2072588.
On March 17 and 31, “The skin that speaks”: two days, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., dedicated to psychosomatic dermatological disorders for fragile women who will be able to undergo, with direct access, a dermatological screening at the SerD clinic in Frosinone.
From 21 to 26 March, the Week of free psychological counselling with direct access to the DSMPD Services is on the calendar. Mental health professionals will be available to women for: listening, counselling, support, prevention and clinical assessment of discomfort, mediation and facilitation of referral to other Services.
On 24 March “Social Workers and 8 March every day”, information points in Hospitals, Districts and Health Homes to listen, welcome and support women and all people who need a personalised response to their health problems. As part of the same project, a video on respect for women and gender equity in access to care will be released on 10 March.
This month there will be an important appointment with the Blood Donation and Bone Marrow Donor Screening Day on 16 March from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm at the Frosinone Transfusion Centre, in Via Armando Fabi, with the support of ADMO. Donation remains the fundamental gesture of generosity to save lives.
There will be moments dedicated to discussion such as The Girls’ Window: a space of freedom and expression for young women (16-20 years old) who want to discuss the themes of the growth path with a look towards the future. Professionals from the Frosinone Addiction Service will be available in the afternoons of 15 and 18 March at the DSMPD meeting room.
Every Thursday of the month at the Pediatrics-Nursery departments of Frosinone, Sora and Cassino, the informative meetings “Women and the importance of breastfeeding” are scheduled. From 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, professionals will be available to answer questions from young mothers.
Every day, from Monday to Friday, until March 31, there will be a space for the project “Il Consultorio si vestiso di giallo” in all four Districts of the ASL. Free online meetings with psychologists, consultants and consulting teams.
Not only screening, prevention and examinations in the month dedicated to women because the Asl of Frosinone wanted to organize numerous events to raise awareness against the sad phenomenon of gender violence.
On March 8, the forum “Women against war” is scheduled at the former Hospital of Viale Mazzini in Frosinone, from 16 to 18, a discussion meeting on the conditions of women in the world, organized by the Integrated Health Services: Immigrants, Gender Medicine and Combating Poverty of the Asl.
On 9 March, at 10.40 am, the “Red Bench against gender violence” donated by the Order of the Obstetric Profession of the Province of Frosinone and decorated by the young students of the L. Pietrobono secondary school involved in the project will be installed in the flowerbeds in front of the entrance to the Spaziani Hospital
In the afternoon of 9 March, the Inner Wheel Club of Frosinone, as part of the “Not only mimose” project, will donate red shoes to the Spaziani Medicine Department as a symbol of the campaign to raise awareness of respect for women and, given recent events, also a peace flag against the war in Ukraine.
Two events for the “Universo donna” informative meeting, “Woman and her thousand ways of being”, to be held on 8 March at the Sala della Ragione in Anagni from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and on 15 March at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Sora.
Also on 8 March, within the Luiss Guido Carli University Facilitators Course, the Forum on violence against Health and Socio-Sanitary Workers will be held at the Boschetto Hotel in Cassino from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.
On March 14, 21, 28 Online gender violence training course, organized by LazioCrea – Lazio Region – Asl Frosinone for social and health workers, anti-violence center operators, Municipalities and Law Enforcement from 9.00-12.00. On 4 April the same will be held in person at the room of the Lazio Region in Via Veccia in Frosinone from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm.
At the end of the month, the webinars “Women protagonists of digital innovation in health” in collaboration with the Order of Engineers of Rome on 29 March and “Being a Woman and Gender Neurology” on 31 March.
The intense program ends with the Cineforum “Reading the Female”: in moments of precariousness and fear, words and images help us to enter a space of comparison and knowledge of ourselves and others. Dialogue and responsibility, sharing and hope, the threads that will hold our days together. On March 31, screening of the film: “Le sorelle Macaluso”, directed by Emma Dante. On April 7, reading some passages from the book: “Change the water to the flowers”, author Valérie Perrin. The Cineforum will be held at the Hall of Representation of the Palace of the Province of Frosinone.
