After a period in which a favourable trend of the COVID-19 epidemic curve was observed with a significant decrease in daily cases and a gradual improvement in all related indicators, in the last week a significant increase in new infections was detected throughout the country due, at least in part, to the various festivities of the carnival period.
Therefore, there is an obligation to remind the entire population of the need to continue to take all possible precautions to reduce the chances of contagion from COVID-19, starting with the use of masks indoors, which is still mandatory.
The use of masks outdoors must be adopted whenever it is not possible to respect the minimum safety distances from other people and remains recommended in any case.
It is recommended to avoid, whenever possible, any gathering situation, always bearing in mind that social distancing continues to be an effective precautionary measure in interrupting the transmission of the virus from subject to subject.
It is always advisable to sanitize your hands frequently, to pay attention to the appearance of specific symptoms (cough, fever, rhinitis, etc.) and, if necessary, to promptly contact your doctor for advice on the measures to be taken.
