The Asl Company of Frosinone has promoted, through the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Pathologies, the implementation of the first training course for Peer Supporters in the penitentiary field.
The project, included in the annual plan of activities of the Prison Institute, represents an example of good practice for the co-construction and implementation of joint training courses between Health Area operators and Ministry of Justice personnel. Young inmates, sensitized to listening to their most fragile comrades, will represent a valid and concrete protection factor in the prevention of suicidal risk and self-harming gestures.
Scientific project manager: Dr. Antonella D’Ambrosi (UOSD Addictions and Psychopathologies in the Prison Circuit)
Trainer and Supervision of the project: Dr. Lucio Maciocia ( UOC North Area Addictive Disorders).
