Why are we here once again talking about vaccines?
Because we have realized that, in this particular post-pandemic historical-social moment, the increasingly widespread dissemination of vaccination culture among all Healthcare Workers takes on an even more important role.
Vaccines are the most effective and least expensive tool of preventive medicine that has made it possible to eradicate or almost eliminate dangerous and deadly infectious and communicable diseases.
And today, with the emerging problems related to the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance, vaccinations become even more fundamental in the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases.
All this happens at a time when science has demonstrated the efficacy and safety of vaccines not only for children, but also for adults, the elderly, frail subjects, and pregnant women. And research has led to the development and production of vaccines that also prevent pre-neoplastic lesions and cancers while vaccines are also being studied for Alzheimer’s and many other diseases.
So much so that the new National Vaccine Prevention Plan (PNPV) 2023-2025, soon to be applied, is defining a vaccination calendar for life and for all seasons of life that establishes the right to vaccinations for those at risk by age, by pathology and by living and working conditions, identified in a timely and unequivocal manner.
The experience of our Vaccine Activities Coordination Operational Unit, in the course of daily activities and Vaccine Campaigns, first of all the Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Campaign, has highlighted the importance of correct adherence to vaccination programs also according to the need for maximum protection of fragile subjects.
That is why it is essential that Vaccinologists and Hospital and Territorial Clinicians and all Healthcare Professionals make a common front and work together for the global care of the fragile patient, and not only, with an integrated and shared immunization program, which entails obvious advantages, both for the patient and for the doctor, also in terms of medical legal responsibility.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE
This Conference aims to deepen the specific and specialized knowledge for the crumbling of false myths that circulate on the network and to share lines of behavior, procedures and operational protocols as well as communication strategies consistent with a safe, effective and inexpensive prevention practice.
The Training Event therefore aims to bring different aspects closer together and remind us that cooperation between Vaccine Center Specialists and Hospital and Territorial Clinics is an additional weapon for the protection of all patients in all seasons of life.
