The users of the Residentiality, Community and Daycare Centres, of the DSMPD Asl Department of Frosinone, graduated for the second consecutive time as regional bowling champions.
The team, made up of six psychiatric patients from the Day Centres of Ceccano and Isola del Liri, and from the Jones Communities of Ceccano and Priors of Frosinone, challenged and won the opponents in the Bocciofilo Club of Montesacro, in the province of Rome, where the event was held.
Also noteworthy is the great contribution to the victory offered by the users of the Basaglia di Frosinone Community who, although unable to participate, trained with commitment during the preparation for the championship.
Great joy at the end of the meetings for the young people who have reaped the fruits of their work. A victory that increases self-esteem, an important medicine of the rehabilitation path, as well as the other aspects of the journey: questioning oneself outside the routine of one’s environment, accepting challenges, adapting to rules, maintaining concentration to achieve the goal.
The sporting activity was initially born for fun, thanks to the availability of the Badia Ceccano Bocciofilo Club, by President Antonio Del Brocco, to then become, with the passage of time, an essential appointment for Residentiality users who train at least once a week.
From sport to poetry: Fabrizio Polizzi, a user of the Community of Ceccano, is the author of a series of beautiful poems collected in a book that the Municipality of Ceccano has decided to publish.
“Like us”, this is the title of the collection, will be presented on Thursday 1 December, at 10.30 am at the Castello dei Conti, in the Sala degli Archi.
